Hi, my name is Chris Bunce, and I am the Director of The Cash Tree. For the last 30 years I have worked for major corporations in Auckland, London and Singapore. Over the last 20 of those years, I have worked for two global consulting firms, with local and international responsibilities in general management, financial management, human resources management, and operations management. Most recently, I was the Finance Director and member of the leadership team of a US$80m business unit with operations in over 40 countries. I was in that position for six years, and during that time, the business unit more than doubled its revenues, and leaped 18 percentage points in profitability. I have been a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1986.
I have always enjoyed working with small and medium businesses, and I started The Cash Tree so that I could work with them full time. As we have all been frequently told, about 90% of New Zealand's businesses are small to medium enterprises, and are the backbone of the national economy. I like helping small business owners be more successful by helping them to create plans that are ambitious yet achievable, and by helping them to execute those plans well.
